Sierra and Sam got married on a cloudy August day, which was absolutely perfect. I met the wedding party at the Zion Lutheran Church in Hancock at 8 am to start the getting ready photos.
Sierra’s mom gifted her this beautiful clutch as something special for her wedding day.
Originally the couple had planned to do a first look prior to the ceremony, but the rain kept us indoors and Sierra really didn’t want indoor photos, so they chose to take a moment to pray together and then see each other for the first time as she walked down the aisle.
After the ceremony, we drove up to the Siskiwit reception hall in Calumet. I love the space there.
Sierra and Victoria are cousins and best friends, and they promised each other when they were little that they would be each others’s maid of honor. Fast forward a few years and they wound up getting married just over a month apart! And they kept their word. :)
Olivia is Sierra’s youngest sibling and the most adorable flower girl!
Okay, on to my favorite part of the day! There was a chance the rain would continue into the afternoon, so we did some photos at the reception hall, and then lucked out with cloudy weather into the afternoon, so we got to head up to Eagle River for portraits after all. One of my absolute favorite places to shoot! I am so thrilled with how all of these turned out.
Sierra sent me an image of 8 of her favorite images printed in 8x10s and hanging in her and Sam’s bedroom. That’s EXACTLY what photographers hope their clients will do with the photos they get back! I was so pleased she shared that with me.
This was the only wedding I shot this summer and I have to say I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to work with! Thanks you guys for having me photograph your wedding day. :)
