Robert and Brenna got married on August 5th out at their church's property on Little Traverse Bay. When I met Brenna in May to see the ceremony site, she said she wanted a wedding with no stress, and that's exactly how she set up her day! The weather was perfect and we had allllll the portraits done before the wedding, though I did sneak the bride and groom away later in the evening for a few more. :) Scroll on to see their big day!
The girls got ready at the church in Calumet before heading out to Little Traverse. Sierra Johns came to do the girls hair.
A HUGE thank you to Claire Haapala for second shooting for me! She filled in at the last minute and I am so grateful for her help. She was with the guys for a bit while they were getting ready.
Brenna gave Robert a card to read right before their first look. We structured the day so that it was only the bride and groom there for their portraits, and then bridal party and family came later. I highly recommend this. It worked out so well!
It's not super common to see white bridesmaids dresses but I think they were perfect for the beach setting of the wedding.
Brenna had an iced coffee bar! <3 <3 <3
Just the immediate family and grandparents attended the ceremony, and then everyone else came to celebrate at the reception later.
Just married!
We snuck away for just a couple minutes to grab a couple of portraits in the golden sunset light!
Robert's father passed away last summer, and his sister Jamie wrote a song for him. I don't think anyone had dry eyes.
These guys requested a photo. :)
Smore's!
What a perfect way to end the evening.
Congrats to Robert and Brenna! And if you scrolled all the way down, thanks for following along with my photos. :)
